1. A clock is a complete circle having 360 degrees. It is divided into 12 equal parts i.e. each part is 360/12 = 30°. As the minute hand takes a complete round in one hour, it covers 360° in 60 minutes. In 1 minute it covers 360/60 = 6°/ minute.

2. 60 minutes = 360 degrees = 1 hour. 1 minute = 6 degrees = 1 minute. 6° x 5 = 30° = 5 minutes in a 5-minute space. 22 times in 12 hours or 44 times in 24 hours = right angle or perpendicular (1 day).

• In every hour, both the hands coincide once.

• When the two hands are at right angles, they are 15 minute spaces apart.
• When the hands are in opposite directions, they are 30 minute spaces apart.
• Angle traced by hour hand in 12 hrs = 360°
• Angle traced by minute hand in 60 min. = 360°.
• If a watch or a clock indicates 8.15, when the correct time is 8, it is said to be 15 minutes too fast.
• On the other hand, if it indicates 7.45, when the correct time is 8, it is said to be 15 minutes too slow.
